Browsing: Subject independence <sum08 1 6>
===============================
Successful hypertext systems should also deliver desired information
independent of the knowledge of the user <link04 1 7>. How?
If the good hierarchies are included with each set of hypertext
jumps, with experimentation <link36 1 21>, users can quickly acquire
insights into both the vocabulary and classifications of the subject.
Hints:
====== From my viewpoint, I use both of these kinds of hypertext jumps:
EXPLANATORY jumps -- Single isolated hypertext jumps providing expanded
information of the current topic. <link52 1 18>
TRANSITIVE jumps -- Sets of 4-6 hypertext jumps organized into clear
subcategories on the current topic <link53 1 1>.
(1) why sets of 4-6 topic...... <link37 1 23>
(2) why "transitive" .......... <link53 1 9>
(3) why clear subtopics ...... <link32 2>
